    The Brigada fought valiently and deserve all honors. It is notable that most who do not know Cuba well think that they had no support in Cuba. So let us also honor those of the Escambray, Oriente and all the rest who fought and died so long after. And let us not forget those 250,000 who were imprisoned at that time. And those who were shot down in La Blanquita and other places.
