That's why a married a good cook. Gringa, but she cooks a mean picadillo, and even bakes Cuban bread! Tonight, I had arroz con frijoles negros, with plenty of olives, and platanitos maduros, thinly sliced...just like Abuela would do them.
OK I'm an ignorant whitey, but while the sammiches look very tasty (I've had them before) that ... I don't know exactly what those are, are they fried plantains? They look nasty heh...
Christopher, yes fried sweet plantains, (Plátanos Maduros) and they are heavenly.
Little slices of heaven sure to sweeten any meal.
