Un-bee-leeve-able!

Canadians who are chomping at the bit to show their solidarity with a totalitarian regime which oppresses its citizenry would be well advised to read this classic in the annals of the "I-have-no-idea-what-the-f-I'm-talking-about"
articles about Cuba.
You can volunteer with the "Che Guevara Work brigade" and really interact with the people of Cuba. One person whose already gone to Cuba more than once, Dave Thomas, incidentally chairman of the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Association, Niagara "strongly believes in what the Cubans are doing and the rest of the world could certainly learn from them." Uh? Just what part of what they are doing, could we learn from. Oh, maybe, like repression 101? It gets better, if possible.
He noted that many of their physicians are actually working overseas in poor countries.
“It’s amazing how they are able to do so much with so little,” said Thomas. “This whole issue of human rights is something you have to view in context. The United States and other countries are spending millions to try and overthrow the government and the social system with all of the benefits that it has. It’s attacking the best example of the Third World. Why don’t you attack the worst example if you want to do some good in the world

Shill? Well, at least shilling. I would strongly suggest that if Canadians would like to experience Cuban life firsthand. They cut their caloric intake by at least half, removing all milk and meat, duct tape their mouths, and wipe their derrieres with the Niagra Falls Review.
There is an email address for the "reporter." I can't trust myself to respond quite yet, but others might have clearer minds. I only hope it's a commie rag.

the best example of the Third World

Obviously he has never read the Renaissance and Decay article, to say the least.

No, it's not unbelievable. That's the scandal and the tragedy of it.

"The Che Guevara Work Brigades" - Canadians doing what CUBANS are too smart to do - WORK FOR NOTHING AND ATTEND BORING LECTURES ON "MARXISMO." -S-

Let's keep track of all those assholes that volunteer so can ban them from entering the country again when the castro's and their comrades are gone.
    Que partida de comemierdas.

"This whole issue of human rights is something you have to view in context."
The whole idea of human rights is that there is never a context that excuses its violation.
I bet this guy felt just like Che Guevara riding his motorcycle around Cuba. What a child.

Well, it's really very simple. You see, in the Third World (which Cuba didn't use to be part of, but I digress), there's never such a thing as a "violation" as long as a leftist government is in charge. Hope that helps all of you who are clearly confused about these things.
