Maybe it’s time for a third party

You can NEVER compromise with those who do not have the best interests of the country at heart. NEVER.

The policies of Obama and the Democrat-dominated Congress are going to fail. They are going to fail because they have been tried many times in the past and always fail. Those policies – whether you call them "bailouts" or "redistribution of wealth" or "debt spending" – all amount to one ridiculous experiment that has been conducted many times in human history and failed each and every time.

You can accurately characterize all of them as "socialism."

It doesn't work.

Never has. Never will.

So, the logical, sensible, rational strategy for Republicans would be to let it fail. The faster it happens, the better off we'll all be. But, for heaven's sake, don't be a part of the failure. Don't compromise with those failed policies. Don't try to make them less of a failure. All Republicans need to do is oppose the policies on principle. It's the easiest job in the world.

Then, when the policies fail and Americans realize they failed, Republicans present an alternative plan in 2010.

But, as I feared, some Republicans are being peeled off by the savvy Democrat machine.

  • I've thought about this long and hard, and still I don't think this would solve the crisis Republicans are under right now. Au contraire, splitting up into two parties would be worse....UNLESS, the third party can somehow appeal to a larger audience and perhaps pick up more people ....but even that would take at least a couple of election cycles

I doubt very much that the Obama policies will fail.
The policies will transform this country both socially, and economically. The policies will hurt working, tax paying Americans, but they will be applauded by the unproductive masses.
The reality is that we have reached a tipping point. The point where there is almost a majority of Americans 'living' off of the government or have a vested interest in the socialist policies being implemented. Sadly but true, those people vote and we are where we are today.

I don’t think it is far to say that these policies have never worked and never will, and I don’t think it is just the Democrats fault that we are in this position. It is merely build-up from past mistakes. This video has someone from MSNBC who makes a very good point…

“… It’s not fair to say the government now is just sort of choosing socialism. We created this system. The government has found itself in a situation where they are the only ones with enough money to try to clean up this mess.”

  • Danielle, where do you think the government gets its money? From WE THE PEOPLE. In the form of taxes, debt, etc. WE are the government. They seem to have forgotten that in the halls of Congress and the White House.
