Mauricio Claver-Carone of the US/Cuba Democracy PAC debates Alfredo Duran about the disgraceful visit of the Congressional Black Caucus to Cuba.
Remember while you watch this that Alfredo Duran is an apt pupil of the maximum leader:
"Cubans play baseball not hockey."
That's the quote of the day from Alfredo "teacher's pet" Duran as he tries to convince PBS viewers that American tourists are different and will automagically transform Cuba.
Memo to Duran. They play baseball in Canada too.

Here is part of his background: Born in Havana in Aug. 1936 and moved to Miami in 1959. Ex-husband of Maria Elena Prio Tarrero, daughter of former President Carlos Prio, who he married on Feb. 19, 1972. Graduated from the University of Miami Law School in 1967. President of the Democratic Party of Florida 1976-80. In November 1989 was indicted in a Miami Federal court with other co-defendants for conspiracy to bribe officials of the Dominican Republic for the purpose of obtaining two planes that had been seized in that country for drug trafficking. His attorneys argued that although Duran "held money for the return of the plane to Roberto Gurin, he did not pay a bribe." Due to that legal technicality, a Federal judge dismissed the bribery charges. In 1997, Duran was dishonorably expelled from the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association for his pro-Castro activism. In March 2001 he traveled to Cuba to participated in the Communist victory celebration against the Brigade 2506 at the Bay of Pigs. Here is another photo of that event.
The Castro regime, in an official ceremony, restored Duran's Cuban citizenship. In spite of this Communist honor, he prefers to live in Miami.
