Polls, polls, and more polls

Get ready for a flood of stories in the media about polls conducted among Cuban-Americans that say they are in agreement with President Obama's policies toward Cuba.  I guarantee one poll they won't cite was the one from November of last year where Obama only obtained about 32% of the Cuban vote in South Florida.  They also won't cite the congressional poll where the three GOP "hard-line" representatives did even better against their opponents than McCain did against Obama.  That doesn't square with the story they want to tell.

I of course am referring to election results. The only polls that really matter. And if there's any doubt as to the definition of poll:

poll1 [pohl]
–noun
1. a sampling or collection of opinions on a subject, taken from either a selected or a random group of persons, as for the purpose of analysis.
2. Usually, polls. the place where votes are taken.
3. the registering of votes, as at an election.
