Thank you, Maggie

Our good friend Maggie (a/k/a DrillANWR) has written a heart-felt commentary on the CBC visit to Cuba that we should all be proud of. All I can say is thank you. You are an honorary Cubiche and a staunch defender of what's right. Here's a sample:

Let me just say that it sickens my heart and soul that the generations of Cubans-(Americans) who have stood their ground strongly and magnificently here in the States in bold protest to the murdering and oppressing Castro/Che Communist regime might have all that stalwartness and principle, that has been passed onto their generations born inside this nation, simply just discounted … even erased by the stroke of a pen that would enable and condone all the horror and evil that has reigned there for 50 years.

[...]

I spit on the CBC and all the limo-leftist-liberals who praise the crushing murderous regime that has had a rope around the neck and chains on the minds and hands of a people who have deserved so much more in life over the last 50 years. In this week of Obama apologizing to the whole world for America’s perceived failings, I apologize to our Cuban-Americans and to the people of Cuba for the disgraceful insult of a handful of people claiming to represent our government and our country who made certain to wear their blinders and rose-colored glasses on their little junket to a false paradise they themselves wish for our country. They obviously couldn’t see the rotting fruit through the palm trees … nor did they care to ... the lazy socialist bastards. May God have mercy on them … because I wouldn’t.
