June 28 - Honduran president José Manuel Zelaya, an ally of Hugo Chávez and the Castro brothers, was arrested on Sunday morning by soldiers.
Zelaya had pledged to go forward with a referendum on constitutional reform despite the opposition of the Supreme Court, the military, Congress and members of his own party.
Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez was behind Zelaya's illegal referendum.
Zelaya was trying to follow the same tactic used by Chávez and his puppets in Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador of trying to change the constitution to allow them to remain in power for life.
Planes from the Venezuelan Air Force had landed in Honduras to bring all the materials required for Sunday's referendum, despite the decision by Honduras' Supreme Court that it was illegal.
Earlier this month, after the OAS met in Honduras and decided to lift the sanctions against the Castro regime, Zelaya was full of praise for the Cuban dictator.
""Fidel Castro said more than 40 years ago that history would absolve him, and history absolved him," Zelaya said.

President Obama said he was "deeply concerned" by Zelaya's expulsion and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the arrest should be condemned.
"I call on all political and social actors in Honduras to respect democratic norms, the rule of law and the tenets of the Inter-American Democratic Charter," Obama's statement read.
"The action taken against Honduran President Mel Zelaya violates the precepts of the Inter-American Democratic Charter, and thus should be condemned by all," Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a statement Sunday.
"We call on all parties in Honduras to respect the constitutional order and the rule of law, to reaffirm their democratic vocation, and to commit themselves to resolve political disputes peacefully and through dialogue. Honduras must embrace the very principles of democracy we reaffirmed at the OAS meeting it hosted less than one month ago," said Clinton.
Something tells be they'd be telling the Honduran president to respect the Honduran Supreme Court Order if he were right leaning instead of left leaning. There you go, this will mark the media spin..

Secretary General Insulza reports that Cuban, Nicaraguan and Venezuelan ambassadors attempted to accompany Honduran Foreign Minister when she was forcibly abducted by military coup leaders, but were violently pushed away from the vehicle. They are not being held captive. As others discuss diplomatic actions--clearly needed and appropriate--these ambassadors provided a lesson in real solidarity, by putting their own lives on the line.

You are right. Obama and Clinton both had the nerve to speak about democratic rules of law when they just voted in Cuba whose dictator took control by a coup. Ironic isn't it?
I just saw on CNN a report on how one of the "coup" leaders apparently went to the School of the Americas. The narrative is already forming - this is what MSNBC will be saying by tomorrow ~

Don't you just love this administration squawking about democratic rule?
1. Obama and company destroy our democratic system by rushing bills through congress, with 300 extra pages tacked on at the last minute that no one has time to read and is pressured to pass anyway. They ruin our economy by massive spending in a recession and raise unemployment and the specter of inflation and future taxation. We elected democratically a guy who said no taxes, lower unemployment, balanced budget, no deficits and end of recession. Obama and company ignored every one of those promises and is saying to those who voted him in, go to hell.
2. Obama and company tepidly deplore a dishonestly fixed election in Iran as they wish to work with the tyrants. To them stability matters more than freedom.
3. Cubans don't need freedom, but we need trade and travel with Cuba. Democracy for Cubans? Hell no.
4. Israel's freely elected democracy doesn't get to decide what's best for that country. Obama and company do.
5. If it is known that Chavez's fingerprints are all over this Honduran coup and Cuba is applauding it, then Hillary and Obama and the msm must, MUST, be against it.
I am so tired of all this crap.
