Princeton must be pretty hard up these days, or maybe those in charge there aren't all that bright.

Regardless of Couric's politics or ideology, or those of anyone in her sort of position, who or what are these media talking heads, exactly? What is their merit or accomplishment, besides looking a certain way, sounding a certain way, and having a certain persona or image? What do they do besides read or parrot the words or content given to them, with the slant required of them, like actors following a script? Why on earth would anybody with half a brain make such incredible, absurd fuss over these people? WTF do any of them actually matter, in real-life terms, in terms of actual, substantial relevance? They do matter to their employers if they get high enough ratings, but that's not what I'm talking about. What the hell is wrong with a society that lavishes fabulous rewards on the inconsequential, the trivial, the banal, the bogus, and worse?

As I said, Princeton must have fallen on hard times or lost its bearings if this is what they come up with for a graduation speaker. I mean, hell, let them get Pelosi or Clinton or Sotomayor (Lord knows if Palin had become the first female VP, they'd never have picked HER, not even if she'd captured Bin Laden single-handedly), but Katie Couric? Some contrived little TV creature that owes WAY too much to being "perky"? Are they kidding me? Or are they just kidding themselves? I just hope they got their picture taken with her and some nice big autographs for their offices. Sheesh. Ivy League my ass--more like bush league (obviously not with a capital B).

Maybe next year they can get Obama's dog groomer to do the honors.

Katie fully represents the MSM liberal ideology.

Remember very well when she attacked us during the Elian Gonzalez saga.

Let’s put it this way, I don’t wish any good on her, that’s how much I like her.
