We’ve come a long way, baby
A quote from the Honduran president, Manuel Zelaya, shows us just how far Latin America has come from the dark days of totalitarian dictatorships.
"The Cold War has ended this day in San Pedro Sula. We begin a new era of fraternity and tolerance."
-Honduran President Manuel Zelaya after the Organization of American States lifted a decades-old ban on Cuba's participation in the group.
Yes, let us begin this new era of fraternity and tolerance by embracing and tolerating the vile and murderous Cuban regime that has been responsible for the death of tens of thousands of innocent Cubans. Let us begin this new age of understanding by extending our hand out to despots that have tortured and incarcerated hundreds of thousands of Cubans who have dared speak or act against tyranny.
We've come a long way, baby... and it seems we're arriving right back to where we started.

"Imagine, if you can....nothing to live or die for, a brotherhood of man..."
Every day in every way, this song is more disgusting to me.

I'd say we come a long way for sure....but not as long as we are going to go.........
Give it a little time I HOPE the American people who voted for CHANGE get their's monies worth!
Honey, are you intentionally misquoting the song?
The correct line is: "Nothing to kill or die for"
Charles,
No I didn't deliberately misquote it. I deliberately mocked it.
It's still a sappy song and the more time goes on, the more I dislike it.
