Is this what America has come to?

More appropriate than ever

I made this video over a year ago.

The Honduran “Protests” you wont see on CNN

Hondurans in Choluteca take to the streets in support of their government.

Honduras Linkfest

Lots of info out on the happenings in Honduras today, so here's a quick linkfest:

First and foremost, check out Fausta's blog, here and here, for probably the best coverage around. First link has an updated run down, second link has text of the Venezuelan ballots)

The Heritage Foundation weighs in.

The New York Post

Ed at HotAir

The Corner.

Roger Simon.

Oh, and this fucking communist, soulless, moronic bitch too.

Update: Here's good one from the wall Street Journal.

OAS Gives True Honduran Government Ultimatum

Fausta reports:

...following Zelaya’s speech at the UN, Zelaya headed to the OAS, after which the OAS gave Honduras an ultimatum,

The Organization of American States gave Honduras three days Wednesday to restore the deposed president, Manuel Zelaya, or face suspension, as the interim leader of the country defied international condemnation of the coup that led to his appointment and said only force could unseat him.

And she nails it here:

The OAS, which recently voted to let Cuba back in, is talking about principles, and “the importance of strict adherence and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms”? Where the hell is the OAS when it comes to the Ladies in White, their husbands and relatives, and the Cuban political prisoners that Marc Masferrer blogs about, week after week? When has there ever been democracy in Cuba in the past decades?

NO ME GUSTA LA PASTA!!!!

Hilarious stuff starts at 1:05:

Must see video of “protests” in Honduras

Gimme 200 CC’s of Lifttheembargocillin, STAT!

Why the big push lately to lift the sanctions and embargo against Cuba?

Oh, I don't know, how about because they're working?

Cuba's trade deficit jumps 65 percent in 2008

HAVANA, June 30 (Reuters) - Cuba's trade deficit soared by 65 percent in 2008, driven by a doubling in the value of oil imports, higher costs of food imports and a decline in key export nickel, according to a government report released on Tuesday.

Exports totaled $4 billion, similar to 2007, while imports increased 41 percent to $15.4 billion, leaving a deficit of $11.4 billion, the National Statistics Office reported on its web page www.one.cu.

Of course, these are the "official" numbers from the Cuban government, so I'd venture to say that the deficit is probably close to double the figure given.

Hey, and guess what? The evil American hegemony remained Cuba's fifth largest trading partner:

Cuba's arch enemy, the United States, also benefited from higher prices as food exports, allowed since 2000 under its long-standing trade embargo, hit a record $860 million, compared with $608 million in 2007.

Despite trade sanctions in place since 1962, the U.S. held its ranking as the island's fifth-largest trading partner.

The Cuban government not only desperately needs American tourism dollars, but CREDIT as well. And once granted credit for all those agricultural purchases, they will most certainly default, as they have always done.

And since most agricultural commodities and goods are heavily subsidized by the US Government, guess who'll end up flipping the bill?

Correctamundo, Mr. Taxpayer.

The Plot Thickens

Boy, Zelaya sure is following instructions from his commie cohorts Chavez and castro to a tee:

Zelaya accused of drug ties

BOGOTA – The regime that ousted Manuel Zelaya in Honduras claimed Tuesday that the deposed president allowed tons of cocaine to be flown into the Central American country on its way to the United States.

"Every night, three or four Venezuelan-registered planes land without the permission of appropriate authorities and bring thousands of pounds ... and packages of money that are the fruit of drug trafficking," its foreign minister, Enrique Ortez, told CNN en Espanol.

"We have proof of all of this. Neighboring governments have it. The DEA has it," he added.

Those Tolerant Racist Liberals

If you had the time and the stomach to listen to the drivel of your typical liberal yahoo, you'd think they are the most tolerant, most open minded, most accepting group of people on earth. They love to tell anyone who will listen (usually another like-minded yahoo) how socially they are so much more advanced than conservatives since they are tolerant of all races and religions. And conservatives, well... conservatives are all members of the KKK.

Apparently this tolerance does not extend to Jews. In a great piece written by Don Feder, he gives us seven reasons why liberals/leftists are anti-semetic. Mr. Feder points out an interesting poll conducted in May by  Stanford University professors that gives us an interesting look at that liberal tolerance.

A May poll by two Stanford University professors showed a third of Democratic voters buying into one of the oldest anti-Semitic myths – world domination by Jewish bankers

The survey asked respondents if “the Jews” were responsible for the current financial crisis.

Of self-identified Democrats, 32 percent blame Jews “a moderate amount” to “a great deal” for our economic woes, versus 18.4 percent of Republicans. In other words, almost twice as many Democrats as Republicans believe sinister Jews are responsible for the collapse of the financial house of cards constructed by Congressional Democrats on a foundation of sub-prime mortgages.

Ah, the Democrats, so tolerant, so minority friendly – except for Jews.

Wow, I guess the KKK has twice as many registered Democrats as it does Republicans.

So what is the first reason the left is so anti-Semitic? Why they learned it from their movement's founding father.

  1. Jew-hatred has deep historic roots in the movement. Karl Marx, who came from a Jewish family that converted to Christianity, was a raving anti-Semite. “What is the Jew’s foundation in our world? Material necessity, private advantage,” Marx wrote. Also: “What is the object of the Jew’s worship? Usury. What is his worldly god? Money.” Marx’s hatred of Jews went beyond the class struggle. He described Polish Jews as “the smarmiest of races,” called his opponent, Ferdinand Lassalle, a “Jewish Nig---” and disclosed that the Ramsgate section of London was “full of Jews and fleas.”

You can read the other 6 reasons the left hates the Jews here. It's a must read.
