Pssst…Mario!

Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart takes on the administration and the bogus stimulus bill:

I agree. But that just begs the question, then, why did you endorse Charlie Crist for the Senate, Congressman?

Charlie took the money and ran. And, even with stark evidence that the bill was bogus and wasteful and wouldn’t do a damned thing about creating jobs smacking old Chummy Charlie up side his tanned face, he still supports and defends his decision.

  1. If Marco Rubio makes it to the Senate he becomes the most powerful Cuban-American Pol by far. Mel was one of us but not really ONE of us due to the Orange County connection. Why would the Diaz-Balarts want someone other than themselves to be the go-to guy on Miami or Cuba. This has nothing to do with what they believe and what is good for the community or the country it is, what it always has been all about the Diaz-Balarts.

  2. I am with Marco Rubio all the way but it is going to be, frankly, an uphill and quixotic battle to defeat Charlie “Green Iguana” Crist and the machine supporting him.

  3. THE DIAZ BALART BROTHERS DONT HAVE MY VOTE OR SUPPORT ANYMORE! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF SELLOUTS TO CONSERVATIVES & US CUBAN AMERICAN’S ALIKE! HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU SUPPORT LIBERAL CRIST OVER ONE OF YOUR OWN! DONT THEY KNOW THAT IF MARCO WINS THE SENATE RACE… MARCO CAN HAVE A GREAT SHOT IN RUNNING AGAINST OBAMA IN 2012 AND BE THE FIRST HISPANIC PRESIDENT OR VICE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. BUT NO THEY HAVE TO LISTEN TO OUR MODERATE LOCAL PARTY AND SELLOUT!CALL THE DIAZ-SELLOUT- BROTHERS AND TELL THEM TO SUPPORT MARCO RUBIO! PEOPLE GO TO http://WWW.MARCORUBIO.COM AND DONATE! WE CAN MAKE HISTORY!!!

  4. MiamiVice,

Dude, first, PLEASE! STOP SCREAMING! And second, I think we should concentrate on Marco Rubio getting elected to Senate first, then perhaps one day after that start dreaming of a VP run.

  5. Yes, it’s all about politics. But let’s face it, with rare exceptions, the people who wind up in high-level political positions are very much POLITICIANS, in the usual (and not exactly nice) sense of the word. I’ve never mistaken Lincoln Diaz-Balart for Jose Marti. Not even close. The fact is, Marti was, strictly speaking, highly atypical, not to say abnormal.

  6. Val – thanks for completing my thought. It is all about politics – you would like to think that there is something more to that to motivate our elected leaders but some are much more human than others.

Asombra – Marti was definitely differnt…abnormal is about right. I do believe, however, that our cause would have been better served with a stoic leader such as Washington. I guess that’s why there is only one Washington.
