Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry?

Great Ben Stein article at The American Spectator; he thinks Americans have figured out Obama.

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.

These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to "protect us" from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.

There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.

    Ziva,

The American people wanted change last November?

Now they're getting what they voted for...they should have known better.

As you said there was plenty of information up there about Obama that would disqualify him for office for a million years, yet the people chose to ignore it.

    Now comes the voters regret...

All I can say is that there are way too many Americans that have not learned the lessons from the Jimmy Carter failed Presidency.

  • I made the stupid mistake of voting for him even though i was a conservative Democrat. I didnt research all the shit and my mother warned me about him. I honestly wish i could take it back. But i can't. I just hope that the next election more people will wake up and not vote him in again.

Obama = Hypocrite in Chief: Pile It On So They Don’t Have Time To Read The Bills w/damning audio

Imagine if this were Pres. Bush ... The MSM would put the damn thing on a 24/7 loop.

  • Ziva , thank you for the links to email members of congress that you posted awhile back. I finnaly got to send out the letters and emails. If they email me back i will forward it to you. Drillanwr : That is the very thing that bothers me now. The media critisized every move Bush made but looks the other way with this asshole. And i thought that the president has to give Congress time to go through everything? Or mabey i am wrong but i thought thats the way how it is supposed to work.

"I made the stupid mistake of voting for him even though i was a conservative Democrat."

    Colena,

Don't be so hard on yourself, we all make mistakes in life.

As long as you learn a lesson and don't ever make the same mistake again...

Even thought I must say that the warning flags were all over the place regarding Obama's qualifications for the highest office in the land.

Like I already said, many Americans have forgotten about the Jimmy Carter years.

  • asombra

If enough people don't wake up and smell the coffee soon enough, we're in SERIOUS trouble. The media is largely part of the problem, so no help there. Like I keep saying, the problem is not Obama, Pelosi, Barney Frank or any of the other abominably bad politicians. The problem is that too many voters are too stupid or too clueless, because bad politicians still have to get elected and re-elected by VOTERS.

I have to say, a lot of blame goes to our failed education system that no longer teaches our children how to be good citizens. How many recent high-school grads know anything about the founding fathers and our system of government?

I agree with the article 100% and I didnt vote for BHO. That said I wasn't enamored with McCian/Pailin either. Bush was no saint when it came to creating crisis and forcing stuff on us we didn't need, see Patriot Act (with accompanying banking regulations) and TARP.
Bush 1 and 2 have done a great diservice to both their party and more importantly their country :"Read my lips" "Compassionate Conservatism" Oddly enough I think JEB would have done a better job than either of them, but his brand name has been seriously soiled.

  • FreedomForCuba , i listened to the media but i listened to the WRONG media. I am very grateful to the woman who told me of this site because this is the only place i can express my views and opinions and not have to worry about being called a racist or worse. I tried to talk to my coworkers about Obamacare and they didnt say crap all they did was change the subject. People dont want to listen. As far as Carter goes , I was born in 86 so i virtually knew nothing about him till i asked my mother. She filled me in about Carter. (she literally wishes death upon all the Carter's, Kennedy's ,and Clinton's. ) I don't blame her. But still i just hope people wake up and vote different in the next election. Ziva, you are right about the education system. In my old high school we would have a newsletter. People could write essays about politics and give their opinions. Evertything was anti - Bush anti - Republican and no one ever seemed to write in favor of anything other than Democrats. I had aclass that was supposed to teach us Zoololgy it ended up being an evolution class. The system is extremely flawed and it is sadly going to get worse with Obama.

  • Colena, your words citing how important Babalu is to you, is music to our ears, or I guess in this case eyes. It means so much to us, and I'm taking the liberty of speaking for the entire Babalu team here, to know that we've made a difference. It makes all the days fighting trolls and idiots worth it, thank you so much!

  • Ziva , you are so kind i dont know what to say. I really love this blog and i go and check it at least a couple times a day.Although i have to come here to the library to comment i still read it on the web with my phone. I am obsessed with Cuba and this site makes me feel like i am not alone with my views. It took me awhile to comment on here as i am a lil shy about posting on blogs. I am apart of a group of women that are fans of Deadliest Catch (tv show) and they have a guestbook and trolls came on there and started attacking us personnally including myself. That was my first time dealing with it and it probably wont be my last. I am sorry you have to deal with them on a daily basis. But you are a better person than them and thats all that matters. You have made a big difference and i thank all of you for it!!!!!!!

I used to really like Ben Stein back when he had his game show but after his movie 'Expelled' and seeing the financial advice that he dispenses on places like CNBC (Ben said to BUY Bear Stearns), I have to conclude that he is a moron. Oh, sure, he is absurdly rich. But if he actually believe the advice that he gives, then he is a moron. Like someone said, never underestimate the intelligence of the American people. If you are enough of a salesperson, you can get rich off of them. That seems to be Stein's modus operendi. He tailors his message to make money off of those who are dumb enough to listen to him.

So, where was I going with this ...

Cripes, I don't remember. Damn wine. Well, maybe it will come back to me later this evening. Lol.

  • deganmiles

    Lol. I've remembered.

As the mods can probably confirm, I live in Montreal.

Today I came across 2 separate booths, one was outside the gates of McGill University, and the other was by the waterfront.

Each was hyping the Lyndon LaRouche view of Obamacare, and linking it to Nazi policies.

I don't get the connection, to be honest. Can anyone here explain it to me? And why are they protesting against Obamacare in Montreal?

Because Canucks are deathly afraid they won't be able to come to the USA for the healthcare that saves their lives outside the rationed and literally dead stand-still-and-wait Canadian socialized med.

As to ObamaCare being deemed NaziCare ... the "Bill" is seeping with euthanasia. Just the few things that have come out so far are frightening enough, but it's well over 1000 pages of dictating who live and who dies ... when and how etc. And Rahm Emanuel's brother is huge on the subject of euthanasia and crafted the bill, along with other 'believers' ...

Read these. The Jews didn't believe what the Nazis were doing to them ... even as they were marched into the "showers" ...

I'm sorry, but that is simply incorrect. The health system up here is pretty good, regardless of what the lobby groups on American tv want you to believe.

Here's something for you. Did you know that the Canadian government has secured enough doses of the (forthcoming) H1N1 flu vaccine to vaccinate all Canadian citizens? Contractually, Glaxo Smith Kline is obligated to supply Canadians with the vaccine this fall, before Americans.

Score one for Canada's health system.

  • drillanwr

I hope you're correct about that because I am hearing you'll need atleast 2 doses for it to be anywhere near effective ... IF it hasn't already mutated past that vaccine serum ... Word is it's already showing to be resistant to Tamiflu.

I personally have known Canadians coming here for medical care because of the wait up there. Ever been to Cleveland Clinic?
