FFC, I'm with you. What he did in November was despicable. He turned against McCain, a fellow military man and moderate Republican, to endorse a leftist like Obama. For a so-called Republican, his actions are unpardonable. I used to admire the man and thought he might be a good President or VP, but he's turned out to be a disgrace and his actions put into question his common sense. He should have known full well what Obama and the Democrats are all about, and at this point he ought to craw back into his hole and shut the f**k up. Stupid shit...

In 1991 we had enough forcers on the ground to finish the job (as General Norman Schwarzkopf once said he could not be stopped on the way to Bagdhag).

At the time we did not need a coalition to take over the country and in retrospect it would have been the best choice to finish the job back when the US military had enough manpower to hold the ground (unlike 2003 after the Clinton years armed forces reductions).

Regadless of the UN resolution, I suspect that Colin Powell was key in advicing President Bush on stopping the war.

That’s why I believe that Colin Powell for all his generalisimo has weak legs when the tough choices need to be made, or the wisdom to make the right decisions for America.

The fact that he embraced a Marxist like Barack Hussein Obama for the highest post in the land speaks volumes for his inability to choose a good leader for our country. That alone makes me lose any respect I had for him.

Sorry, but I don’t buy any of Colin Powell BS.

I am no Powell fan, but wasn't it the U.N. that gave us the limited mandate to do only what we did?

George,

I’ve always had my misgivings about Colin Powell from back during the first Gulf War days(as I suspect he was the one who influenced Papa Bush not to finish the job).

My views on him were later reinforced when he made that stupid comment about the Castro’s government advances in health care.

The way that he went to attack the Republican Party (after the election) and the way he embraced Barack Hussein Obama just a week before the election made me lose all the respect I had left for him.

Now I just think that he’s just another liberal turncoat asshole dressed in a military uniform.

From this point on I could care less about him, what he stands for and his legacy.
