Darsi Ferrer taken to Valle Grande Prison
Just in from Payo Libre: Darsi Ferrer has been transferred to Valle Grande Prison, which is a maximum security prison. Word is he is on a hunger strike. Please spread the word, and pray:
La Habana – www.PayoLibre.com – Detenido por 4 agentes de la seguridad del estado ayer 21 de julio el Dr. Darsi Ferrer Ramírez, y llevado a la unidad policial de Aguilera en el municipio de 10 de Octubre, informó el opositor Alfredo Guilluerme Rodríguez.Según la fuente, posteriormente el doctor fue trasladado a la prisión de Valle Grande, donde actualmente se encuentra en huelga de hambre.
It is my opinion that the Cuban dictatorship, just as they have in the past, is emboldened by the ineffective foreign policies of the current administration, not to mention Obama's apparent Communist sympathies. If anything happens to Darsi, they too are responsible.

As I've said before, if this was apartheid era South Africa instead of Stalinist Cuba, every young black actor in Hollywood would be dying to play Ferrer or Biscet in some movie or other, and Soderbergh or Spielberg or Stone would be right there to direct the thing. But of course, I'm just one of "those people," so even if I'm right, it makes no difference.
i did a google search on cuban prisons and i found an article entittled:Chronicle of An Unforgettable Agony: Cuba's Political Prison's. It is a great article and the first part tells the story of Julio Antonio Yebra. He went up to every member of his firing squad and shook theier hands and forgave them for killing him. Then it goes on to tell about Mario Chanes de Armas who was in prison for 30 years from July 1961 to July 1991. The article was written in 1996 so it is a bit outdated but it said at the time that he was the longest held political prisoner in the world. It is a very nice article and it interviews him as well. Just thought i should share that with you guys if you havent read it before. Does anyone know where Ferrer's wife is? Is she ok? And have the police come out with what bogus charges they are charging him with? I hope he will be ok. I'll be praying for him.
USA Today: "What does this have to do with Michael Jackson?"
lol Mr. Mojito. I'll never get why they are so obsessed with a singer. That's all he was. They're using him to try and distract people from real news.
