  • Some of us are going to work.:)

  • Honey

I have an interesting one for you. My boyfriend who is 83 years old, which is the lifetime of 70 plus the new lifetime of 13, has been studying and preparing these last weeks, because tomorrow he will ascend the pulpit to celebrate his second Bar Mitzvah. His first one was postponed for a year because right before his 13th birthday, he and his family were fortunate enough to have heeded the warnings in time of a dying uncle and they were among the last to get visas and were able to leave Nazi Germany around the time of Krystale Nacht.
So how's that for a holiday story?

  • Taking the van to get the AC fixed, cutting the grass, clean the pool, helping my wife's uncle move.

  • Going to do some packing. Trying to move soon. Then have to get some sleep. I work night shift. And i have to work saturday night too!!!!!!!! But at least i get to eat ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone has a safe and HAPPY HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday felt like a Friday. I woke up disoriented thinking it was Saturday...oh well, still-- no work.

  • Jerome

Honey, that's a great story. It must feel great for him to accomplish that in his lifetime. I second rsnlk. I work today and tommorrow. I guess my bosses are not patriotic. LOL.

  • Lori G.

Honey, that is a great story!! My respects to your boyfriend.

Jerome, and rsnlk, not to worry, as far as my bosses are concerned, MLK hasn't had his dream yet, Columbus has not discovered America, We can't celebrate ourselves for working, and we've never lost a soldier in a war. The only thing they do recognize is that a great people delcared their independence from England 232 years ago.

Have a wonderful 4th of July!

  • Uhm, revising manuscript two of my dissertation and reading a a couple of academic articles.....fun stuff huh?

  • rrrod

I shall fish in the Keys....and perhaps fly the flag upside down. And more than likely drink one more beer than I should.....!

  • It's a beach day here in So Cal. Heading to San Clemente with the fam and the minivan loaded down with surfboards. Cowabunga! =D

  • Since I live near the cool weather beach, we are headed out to the hot desert for peaceful solitude, and star filled night skies.
