The idiots are running the asylum

Or in this case providing bungled leadership for what has been the world's leading superpower. Here's the latest installment of amateur hour at the White House.

Obama spokesman withdraws Ahmadinejad 'elected' remark

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs on Wednesday withdrew his remark that Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had been "elected," saying Iranians still had questions about his disputed victory.

On Tuesday, Gibbs had declined to term Ahmadinejad Iran's legitimate president but said he had been "elected," stirring controversy among critics of the White House stance on Iran following June's controversial election.

"Let me correct a little bit of what I said yesterday. I denoted that Mr Ahmadinejad was the elected leader of Iran. I would say that is not for me to pass judgement on," Gibbs told reporters on Air Force One.

"He has been inaugurated -- that's a fact. Whether any election was fair, obviously the Iranian people still have questions about that and we'll let them decide that."

By all means let the people decide.   Unfortunately, Ahmadinejad, doing what dictators do to maintain power, violently suppresses dissent.

Obviously Obama and his administration is racist and hates Persians and wants them to die. Right?

  • I wouldn't say that Obama and his administration hates Persians (unless they happen to be Republicans), Squires, they just don't give a rat's behind about anyone but themselves. Those Iranian dissidents are only "distractions," as Obama likes to say, and if their freedom is inconvenient to him, he'll look the other way.

It's not hate, it's indifference, which is just as vile.

I meant in the same sense that Bush was proclaimed racist against, for example, blacks in New Orleans (for causing global warming).
