Embargo Hypocrisy without the usual subtlety

A group of Hondurans who want their ousted president, Manuel Zelaya, reinstated are pressing the U.S. government to suspend trade and foreign aid to the Central American country. Ponce and other Hondurans spoke with reporters through a translator Tuesday morning at a briefing organized by the Center for Democracy in the Americas.

Here (and as Dave Barry used to write, I swear I'm not making this up) is the centerpiece policy goal for this Center for Democracy in the Americas:

"Sanctions against Cuba do nothing but violate American values, cost American jobs, stain our image overseas, and breach our basic rights...we should replace our policy of isolating Cuba with one favoring engagement, travel and trade."
