  • Orgullosa de ser Cubana

Today makes 48 years that I arrived in Miami with my mother and sister. My father was not allowed to leave with us and did not join us until the end of December. My parents thought it would be just a few months before fidel was overthrown and we would be back.....It was also the last day I saw my two grandmothers alive.

This morning I lite my candle and put Sunflowers in front of The Statue Of Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Cobre that my Grandmother brought out of Cuba in 1961.
    THANK YOU VAL.
