With all due respect, I believe Chirino's letter to Juanes, which I posted on Babalu back on August 17th, was meant to both point out the freedom that Juanes enjoys, and the lack of freedom the Cuban people suffer under. I don't believe he was so much defending his right to play in Cuba as he was pointing to the responsibility a decent man has to help those who are oppressed. He wrote it in a language Juanes, and those like him, could understand, but his point was clear.
The truth is that as a free man, Juanes does have the right to play his music wherever he chooses. But he also needs to realize that as a free man, if he chooses to play his music for the pleasure of the slave masters, it is a crime much worse than that of the slave who sings songs at his master's orders.
Why waist the opportunity? ... seize the moment and berate the "punching bag" of choice: The "radical, wealthy, resentful, intransigent" exiles ... what an useful idiot!!!

As far as I can tell(?) no Crackpot/Intransigent has advocated that Juanes be prevented by force of law from playing in Cuba.
The slimy little weasel's hypocrisy is the issue, along with the attendant (and reflexive) MSM obsequiousness to his, and his Stalinist hosts' every propaganda whim and utterance.
