A semi-microscopic hint of hope?

Fox News wins a round.

Update: Cigar Mike - Charles K has a great piece on this as well. Click here.

Update (Val): Related thoughts from Peter Wehner at Commentary Magazine:

The Obama White House is showing a fondness for intimidation tactics that might work well in the wards of Chicago but that don't have a place in the most important and revered political institution in America. To see these impulses manifest themselves so early in Obama's presidency, and given all that he has said to the contrary, is rather startling. The danger is that as the pressures mount and the battles accrue and the political heat intensifies, these impulses will grow stronger, the constraints on them will grow weaker, and the voices of caution and reason will continue to be ignored. If that should come to pass -- if what we are seeing now is only a preview of coming attractions -- then the Obama administration, and this nation, will pay a very high price.

Update (Alberto):

Is it any surprise that the White House and its communications director, Anita "Mao Tse" Dunn, are emulating one of their most admired dictators?

Wesley Pruden in the Washington Times describes quite well the apparent fetish Obama and his White House have with tyrannies.

Mr. Obama and his White House can't seem to get their brains around the fact that the election of '08 is over, and he won. A candidate feeds on red meat, but a president is the president of everyone, and must set a different table. Mr. Obama campaigned with promises of a post-racial, post-partisan, post-rancor administration, and millions of Americans responded with enthusiasm. The candidate who said he took inspiration from Abraham Lincoln of Illinois now acts as if he takes inspiration from the distinguished statesmen of the Third World, where press opposition to the leader is usually a bloody no-no.

This is one freaky dark omen. Guess it was so outrageous, the rest of the MSM players just couldn't let it go by. At this autumn season, could it be some of them are finally growing some nuts?
