I like but a whole bunch of problems here. A is the practical issue - conservatives are 40% so if liberals play like moderates they can win. My sense is that we don't like or want moderates - and that's how they feel too.
Then there is what Americans believe and what they actually motivates them. Everyone believes that there is too much government waste but one man's waste is another man's necessity. We are living in the age of entitlement - Americans want free stuff from the government but they don't want to pay for it. 8 years of "conservative" rule and we only managed to make the government bigger. Remember that the Republican Revolution of '94 stalled when we shut down the government. I was a true believer and really thought that the American people would rally but instead they freaked and Clinton rebounded all the way to re-election. We have a lot more work to do to convince people to have the courage of their convictions.
Just let's nominate and elect conservatives and reject and punish rinos.
ok, that's what I'm talking about. 40% is not 51%. To win most elections that is what you need 50+1. I'm not a RINO fan but we are going to need a couple to get a majority in the Senate.
