Lobotomy Island

Nothing that Nurse Ratched did to the above can compare to what Castro has done to these.

(For our English-speaking friends: "We're living it up in Havana, while you poor saps are crying in Miami!")

Viva La Revolucion!

Vamos Bien!

As usual, Biscet nailed it:

And unsurprisingly, Juanes seems immensely proud of these slave/inmates, posting the video on his twitter.

  • [...] So the attacks on the Cuban people continue for the heinous atrocity of going to a rock concert. [...]

  • Isn't it interesting, Humberto, how the left points to this video as proof that Cubans are happy living under a dictatorship.

I guess the same logic can be applied to the black slaves that used to sing songs while toiling away in the plantations. I guess they, too, were happy living in slavery.

funny how the emphasis that Humberto and the link he posted in English has a different emphasis than the the Radio Mambi link to the interview. Humberto would have you believe that Biscet was completely critical of Juanes - the Marti link and interview is a bit different. Don't let the truth get in the way of a good blog post!

Biscet, condenado en 2003 a 25 años de cárcel como parte del Grupo de los 75, dijo que tal vez Juanes tenía buenas intenciones con el concierto pero que la dictadura comunista nunca arriesga nada para perder.

  • Cardinal, with all due respect, I believe you're the one that is having trouble seeing the truth.

"[Biscet] dijo que tal vez Juanes tenía buenas intenciones..."

"Tal vez," as in perhaps, maybe, could be, there is a possibility, etc.

How you can equate Dr. Biscet's assumption of Juanes' intentions, which was obviously done out of politeness, with approval of the concert is quite a reach on your part.

I didn't approve of Paz Sin Fronteras (no liberty, no peace) BUT Biscet does not go as far as everyone else here and say Juanes is a commie. A useful idiot perhaps, but not a commie. Just trying to add a shade of gray to the black and white.
