WHAT!!?!! Just what are you suggesting? That an >American< be honored for something...and a conservative republican at that?!?!?!?
No,....what we need to do here is send someone...in fact..it should be our leader...to go over and apologize for having created the circumstances that forced the Germans to put that wall up in the first place. Yeah, that's right.

I had the interesting opportunity to hear Gorbachev speak at the UF O'Connell Center in 1999 while in grad school. The Palm Beach County junior communist girlie man who headed the student government at the time introduced him as "the man who ended the cold war". However, during the audience Q&A time, he was asked directly about Reagan's role in it all, and he replied with an absolutely bitter 5-minute diatribe ending with "it's all propaganda". The Demshevik fascists and their ignorant, state-controlled media hand-puppets may pretend or really not know who ended the Cold War, but you may take satisfaction in the self-evident fact that Gorbachev himself does.

To state that Gorbachev ended that real war is akin to stepping outside during a Florida thunderstorm, then when it's over declaring that you ended it based on the observation that you got wet.
