Cuba Experts mum on Cuban blogger beatings

Not a peep from all those "Cuba experts" that are always - ALWAYS - the go to source for the MSM on anything Cuba-related.

What's matter, Phil? Sherritt cut your tongue?

Y tu, Julia? Blogger beatings not part of what everyone needs to know about Cuba?

Que pasa, Marifeli? Still waiting for orders from the senility down South?

    Most of the self-styled, so called "Cuban" experts I've come across are nothing other than regime enablers who make a quick buck playing to an already compliant media here. Of course they're going silent on the Yoani episode; decrying it would put them in an uncomfortable position that may not get them any more interviews or grants or spots on the op-ed pages of the herald. They'd have to explain their position - imagine that! I don't know why local hosts in Miami give 'em the time of day, I mean it; it really makes me angry to see these clowns hog time on tv and print, as if they had any thing of any substance to offer.

  • Hideous!!! and don't hold your breath, Val.

    But, for what it's worth, one "Cuba expert" will have something to say on the matter to a (probably diminutive) college audience tomorrow;

    Beatings what beatings? these were brief re-orientation chats, poor lads lost perspective on the glorious Cuban revolution.

    Marifeli is not really a blogger so I don't expect anything right away. Julia won't bother either. Phil will make a post with a link...like a week from now. How did you not mention Bardach? She is by far the worst demonizer of the exile community.

    Cuban Triangle has posted on Yoani.
