NASCAR going the way of the dodo?
For a long time I've been warning anyone who'll listen about the consequences of allowing your liberty to be tampered with by an out-of-control state. Cigarettes, burgers, meats, exhaled breath, cow-farts, trans-fats, it doesn't matter how big or small the issue. It's all about control. Control of YOU your life, your activities, your everything. That is the ultimate goal of these socialists.
The Toyota retreat can be added to news that the Obama Administration has pressured Chevy and Dodge to pull out of the NASCAR racing series to save $250 million a year. The two companies have been pillars of NASCAR and there are no other auto firms with large enough budgets to replace them.
Save money or a slap in the face? Remember, once you let them in, they never leave.

Toyota is announcing that they are leaving Formula 1 racing, which is a different racing series. They are still participating in NASCAR racing. However the threat to NASCAR would indeed be serious if Ford or Chevrolet were to pull out of NASCAR.
bob3535r, Toyota is pulling out of F1, but read the article. Administration is asking Chevy and Dodge to pull out of NASCAR to save money. I am an F1 fan so that is why I was reading the article and came upon this little bit of info on NASCAR "buried" within the F1 article.
