That Blockheaded bloqueo means U.S. companies miss out on THIS.

But you PROMISED!

But you PROMISED!

"Spanish diplomats are doubling their efforts trying to persuade the Cuban gov. to unfreeze $400 million that belong to 300 Spanish businesses that operate in Cuba. Some of these firms have been unable to obtain their funds for over a year and are considering abandoning Cuba completely."

The rest of the article in Spanish here.

(But WARNING! The article is almost unendurably heart-rending!...The description of the suffering inflicted on these Spanish businessmen is not for the sentimental or faint-hearted!)

HELLO QATAR - And all 'y'all want to build a hotel in La Habana? Por Que? -S-

  • It does my heart good to read that these Spanish companies are about to experience the Robolucion first hand. The Spaniards thought they could buy protection with political appeasement, but as we all know, when it comes to the Castro mafia, there is no such thing as permanently bought.

  • A timely reminder Humberto, unbelievable that we are hearing about how much money is being lost by not doing business in Cuba, when there is a 109 page list at the Justice Dept of outstanding claims against Cuba for expropriated US property prior to 1967.

Oh, and these Spanish businessmen actually expected the Cubans to honor their word? Don't they learn from their own piece'a'crap Zapatero govm't? Serves them right, too bad, so sad.

Say, that Cuban foreign minister talking to the Gallegos in the picture looks like Gerald Ford!

So do all you socialist believe that the state should gaurd you from losses incurred in foreign countries? I don't.
I'm Ok with lifting the emabrgo as long as not one cent of US taxpayer money is used to reimburse or insure any fool that loses his cheese to the castro Bros.
