Cubanita finally managed to get her father out of the island prison. It’ll be a special Christmas for her as it will be the first time in ten years her family will be together.
Bienvenido a la Libertad, Caballero.

“So, then, to every man his chance — to every man, regardless of his birth, his shining golden opportunity — to every man his right to live, to work, to be himself, to become whatever his manhood and his vision can combine to make him — this, seeker, is the promise of America.” ~ T. Wolfe
Gracias, gracias for all the good wishes. 😉
For me, being a single child (despite raised with three other cousins – four girls in a pack!) it is a big deal to have my parents with me again, after leaving them behind in Cuba, both old and sick, when I decide to look for a life with freedom. Indeed, we’re are very happy.
Melek, my kiddo’s welcome announcement to my Dad, right in MIA, was: “Mi abuela, es mia. Y ella duerme conmigo” (My Grandma is mine. And she sleeps with me)… it was like, OK, let’s set this straight since day one.
Now he is also trilled to have a pal to play all day around, though!
Perdoname!…hadn’t seen this! Congratulations on this….! Many of us can relate.
HOT DAMN!!!
