Well, that settles it

Hasan yelled "Allahu Akbar!" before shooting. So says the Associated Press.

  • But it's the religion of peace!

How will the MSM spin this??

They are already feeding the whole PTSD defense.

Any PTSD groups should shout loud about this media diagnosis. It diminishes those who do have it.

You actually have to be directly in a situation to develope PTSD.

You cannot get PTSD by osmosis.

And I will not accept the guy had PTSD stateside because of the 'stress' of his job, which he, BTW, was piss poor at: http://tinyurl.com/ybzorkf

Notice little or no praise for Kimberly Munley who shot the shooter

It's just a cultural difference. You know, a different world view. We mustn't be judgmental. Only the other side gets to be judgmental and kill us when it judges it necessary or justified. Please read the memo again, OK?

  • asombra

Oh, and those responsible for 9/11 also had PTSD. Or close enough. Hell, if the Holocaust can be denied, what lie or distortion is too outrageous?

Glenn Reynolds @ Instapundit heard something interesting on NPR this a.m. (but states not finding the info online):

" ... On NPR I heard — I can’t find the story on their website yet — that he had given a presentation on the Koran at a professional conference where he claimed that unbelievers should be beheaded, burned, etc. to the discomfiture of the attendees."

  • But what confuses me is why don't Baptists lob hand -grenades into coffee shops?
Why don't Methodists slip into dynamite vests and blow up buses full of children?
Why don't Lutherans fly planes into buildings?
Why don't Catholics video the beheading of innocent people?
    Why, oh why, oh why?

    1) "why don't Baptists lob hand -grenades into coffee shops?"

Been down in the "deep south" ... not too many Starbucks down there.

    2) "Why don't Catholics video the beheading of innocent people?"

This is a no-brainer ... because THEN everyone would want to convert and join the Catholic Church.

Can't speak for Methodists and Lutherans ... sorry. But was unaware the FAA allowed Lutherans pilot licenses.

Of course, {snark} goes without saying here.

    I get your point.

  • Maggie, I'm ROFLMAO!

And for the record, Catholics do launch hand-grenades, we just keep it really low key. ;-)

Which is why we make the best damn Marines.

AS I read Newspaper headline across the world one thing strikes me as odd is almost universally foreign news sources headine "Army base attacked" while USA news outlet call it an "Incident" or a "Tragedy" I think this fact speaks for itself.

  • Mr. Mojito

Most sources don't use the word "terrorism" under the basis that this quack was attacking soldiers and "terrorism" us usually reserved for an attack on civilians. I don't agree with their rationale however.
