About working for the state

There is a basic fact of socialism that seems to be beyond the understanding of the average hope-filled, palms outstretched, delusional Obama loving kool-aide drinker.

The average annual salary for federal employees is over $71,260, while the average annual salary of privately employed Americans  is $46,326 depending on which study you read.  When you factor in benefits, the average federal employee is earning almost double what the private sector worker earns.

This means that millions of Americans, you and I, are working to pay taxes in order to fund high wages for government employees who produce nothing.

As the size of government and the number of federal employees increases, the pool of income producing workers adding to the tax base decreases.

Unless the government finds another source of income, for instance borrowing from other nations, the economy starts to collapse, and the government will have to increase repression in order to maintain control.  At some point, even the thoroughly indoctrinated believers recognize that they are merely working as slaves, and get angry, very very angry.

Tea Party anyone?

The canary in the coal mine is grasping for air............

Funny you should mention this. It has been a thorn in my ass for the last few years. I have a couple of neighbors who work for the Feds and they are living high on the hog and rubbing it in everybody's face.

When it comes to us poor[er] neighbors their motto is not just to let us eat cake but to beg for it.

    Getting old.
