Iran's own dissidents oppose U.S. sanctions against their nation, claiming they hurt only the people and provide the regime with a handy scapegoat for its blunders and repression.

Why yes! ..NOW I remember! it was from liberal Democratic Senator Howard Berman, as he smugly and gleefully read Yoani Sanchez' letter backing his plan to EASE sanctions against Cuba.
Berman is now the point-man and chief proponent for TIGHTENING sanctions against Iran, against the wishes of that nation's dissidents.
And he manages to pull it off with a straight face.
