that would not be so bad if it wasn't accompanied by it's sister apathy.

No, the left seems to have cornered the market on vapidity as illustrated here.
I said a long time ago that the logo looked like Pepsi. Most people didn't agree. I am glad to be validated here.

A propos of nothing, I saw a t-shirt in Jay Nordlinger's Impromptus. I wish I could get it on my e-mail so I could forward it. I don't have the courage to wear it. Here's what it said:
It was a Hitler face on it and the quote was my Mao and Che t shirts are in the wash.
Is that not brilliant? How can I find the picture of it?

    Honey,

Obama-Pepsi connection is via Wahid Hamid (Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy for PepsiCo and is a member of the Board of Directors of PepsiAmericas) ... you're right! ... PepsiCo newest logo's resemblance to "The One"'s logo was no accident ... here's some interesting background info on Obama's Occidental College friends, then & now ...

    Happy New Year :) Melek

"Men have been taught that the highest virtue is not to achieve, but to give. Yet one cannot give that which has not been created. Creation comes before distribution- or there will be nothing to distribute. The need of the creator comes before the need of any possible beneficiary. Yet we are taught to admire the second-hander who dispenses gifts he has not produced above the man who made the gifts possible. We praise an act of charity. We shrug at an act of achievement." ~ Ayn Rand

The kool-aid effects have a way of wearing off when the pink slip arrives and your mortgage payment goes south.

Unfortunately, there's still too many kool-aid addicts around who make it hard to neutralize the historic euphoria. It's not only on Union Square, NY, but also at Union Station, DC, where you find entire stores devoted to the One & Mrs. One. If we're lucky, maybe whatever is left of our capitalism will shatter this inflated image and all the excesses that go with it. That's my hope for change.

  • Honey

Okay, Alley Kat, now how do I transfer the image to an e-mail so I can send it to someone.
I don't have the nerve to wear the t-shirt.

  • Alley Kat

Hi again Honey, although I'm really a geek wanna-bee, in actuality I'm not very computer savvy. However I think in order to send the image to someone, depending on your email, you would right click on the image and save it to your computer. You would next open up your new email message and if there is an icon for including images, click on that and it will ask you to browse your computer for the already saved image. You find it and click on that as well. The dialog boxes should guide you into the process.
If that doesn't work, then I suppose you could use the link in the same way I posted it for you.

I don't know that I'd want to be actually wearing the t-shirt myself either. I have lofty imaginations of wearing a t-shirt with fifo's face with the title "infidel" pasted over it, but then I don't think I'd want to display the monster on top of my chest, or any other mass murderer for that matter....

An outrageously funny thought just crossed my mind. As happens in my life twice a year, I'm now just 20 minutes away from San Francisco, Ca. Ha ha, wouldn't it be funny to wear one of those shirts out to the most disgustingly liberal strongholds in the nation. But Naah, I'm a very small woman with a young child who needs me alive. Need I say more?

More than an issue of liberal vs. conservative, I believe that Obama is an example of how powerful the pernicious media in the United States still is. Sure, the media that supported him is leftist [I would go as far as calling it a Fifth Column], but I don't think that everyone who voted for him was a leftist or liberal. I think that many--perhaps even most-- were plain foolish and swept up by the crap that the MSM guzzled down the collective throat of the nation. Its like the millions of people a year that are coned into buying crap after they see some splashy commercial selling some product that is completely worthless.

What irks me the most is that signs that the great idol is quickly crumbling are all over, yet--except for a few little nips here and there-- the MSM is still reluctant to really expose him. Part of the problem is that Obama is "black." His blackness is his protection. It's like a shield that guards him from strong scrutiny less the scrutinizer be accused of racism.

Keep the hope and I'll keep my change.

  • FreedomForCuba

    It is very simple,

Obama was a “Big Lie” shoved by the MSM down the American people’s throats. Now we see the results of having the wrong man in charge of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The incredible amount of brainless stupidity prevalent in the American society today (referred by George in his post and expressed by the people in this video) prevented the people for questioning themselves whether Obama was right for America because of his political background, experience and choice of associations.

Even as the MSM went to enormous lengths to cover-up for Obama’s flaws that should have disqualified him from the highest office from the start of his political campaign; the people should have had enough common sense to see through the media’s BS.

Unfortunately stupidity runs rampant among the people in our nation these days, and we're all paying for it.

    Rayarena,

As I've said before, when Rush said the press is so anxious that a black quarterback succeed that they over praise McNabb, everyone thought he was horrendous. Yet here is again a reluctance to criticize Obama because they are so anxious for a black president to succeed. So Rush was right then and you are correct now.

    Freedom,

I don't object to uneducated people loving him despite the evidence. They are not politically savvy, nor are they ready to discredit their idol.

But when my otherwise intelligent friends go ape for this man and support him no matter what a danger he is to us, then something is definitely wrong. Everywhere I hear that polls show Obama slipping to under 50% in popularity and support. So far I see no evidence of this in my friends. I hear that in November we stand to win big, but those I know on the left are hoping that the republicans lose big because they are the party of no. Even when I try to say that we offered many suggestions and our president of the I'll bring everyone together variety turned down every suggestion and threw them out, this makes no dent. When they want to believe that we are nothing but obstructionists, no facts will persuade them away from that. What will they say if we win big in November?

I have no income and have to cash in some of my IRA so that I have money to live on every year. Remember Obama's oft asserted,"If you earn less than $250,000 every year you will not pay one penny more in taxes during my administration"? Well, so much for that. I took a small amount from my IRA and to Obama that makes me rich. I was taxed on my social security and I lost 10% of my monthly allowance. I can assure you I took out around one fourth of Obama's supposed limit.

But don't try to give facts to any liberal. You get "I don't want to talk about it."

    Ho hum. I do despair.

  • FreedomForCuba

    Honey, my statement

“Unfortunately stupidity runs rampant among the people in our nation”

Includes educated and uneducated people, as it has no explanation whatsoever but it is what it is, period.
