Leave Che Alone! I MEAN it!

chris-crocker-cries

"Chris Crocker has nothing on most Che Guevara fans. His anguish in “Leave Britney Alone!” pales to what I’ve seen and heard from “hecklers” during many college lectures. The more painstakingly-documented the facts I discharge into the fog of ignorance that blankets many campuses, the more shrill and anguished comes the reactions, often from faculty! Facts matters little to diehard, teen-beat type Castro/Che fans. Many “document” their rebuttals to my blasphemies with scenes from Godfather II, that famous documentary on pre-Castro Cuba. “Fidel, I love you,” gushed a young Francis Ford Coppola. “We both have beards. We both have power and want to use it for good purposes.” Not that such sentiments could have possibly flavored his masterpiece."

Entire intransigence here.

Unreal.

    Humberto,
This is one of your best dog slaps. Well done.

Here's a little exercise ... Replace "Che" and "Castro" with Hitler and see how far they get.

What Hollywood fails to recognize and own-up to is their own "Mob" rule and ownership out there on the Left Coast that oppresses anything conservative or Christian based ... even to the point of veiled persecution of those writers/directors/producers/actors who are conservative.

As a matter of fact, over the years I have noted what might even be bullshit leftist (and at the time anti-Bush) remarks from some Hollywood elites who were pretending to believe what they were saying simply to get along and save their own jobs ... maybe to even possibly get more work in an era of fad anti-Bush-ism.

That makes them even worse than those who ramble on such crap and actually believe it. Especially when you have those of a conservative leaning who have to try to stay alive and working in Hollywood after proudly standing up for their ideology of such.

    Hollywood needs to check itself.

But then, we've always known they are wired completely different ... and wrong.

You've got to hand it to Hollywood, they wait for one non-Cuban author to write a pro-Castro novel in order to INSTANTLY--they practically trip over themselves running to see who's going to get the rights to the book---turn the piece of crap into a movie!!! Meanwhile, there are countless real Cuban stories--genuinely fascinating human interest stories--- waiting to be filmed, for instance, Armando Valladares's "Against All Hope," Alina Castro's biography, the book by that Cuban pilot who flew into Cuba to help his family escape, etc... These would make great movies, but NO INSTEREST from Hollywood [you can hear the crickets in the background] WHATSOEVER, NADA, ZILCH..ZERO. Hollywood simply doesn't care, if the book is critical of Castro.

When Julian Schnabel made "Before Night Falls," he had to finance the movie himself, because Hollywood would not give him a cent, and then the movie was snubbed by Hollywood. Even the leftist Europeans recognized that the movie was great and it was awarded there, but he it was utterly snubbed. Not one Academy Award...

Hollywood ohhhhhhh Hollywood, the land of shit heads and useful and useless idiots.
    Take your pick.

I wonder if they'll ask Andy Garcia to be in this film?

How things come full circle. During the late 60s, while in high school, many of us saw the drug-addled peacenik crowd as a bunch of communist dupes.

The revelled in che imagery - Zig Zag papers, T-shirt, books of che's bizarre ramblings, etc.

Then as now, it takes a certain mindset to embrace a cowardly mass murder.

Would it do any good to remind today's youthful worshippers that che would gladly have incinerated their parents and grandparents with Moscow's missiles?

    Likely not.
