Whereas the Castro/Che regime, according to The Cuba Archives, caused the death of 110,000 Cubans (out of a Pop. of 6.5 million)
So when we visit London's Hyde Park, let's be sure to wear our Hermann Goering--ALONG! with our: Eamon de Valera, Caesar, Aulus Plautius, Hadrian and William the Conqueror, T-shirts.....OK?
Yes, obviously she had the revolutionary theme park tour, and she's uninformed about the so-called "embargo." But to be fair she does criticise Fidel and communism, e.g. "Asking Cubans to volunteer their views on politics, however, comes with risks. Palm trees, rum cocktails and sunshine cannot disguise the chilly stranglehold communism retains on its citizens. Neighbours are still obliged to spy on each other. Voluminous Stasi-like files are kept on anyone suspected of subversion. Dissidents are imprisoned, anti-government journalists are intimidated."

I'm still not grasping how, when all of the rest of the world does deal w/ Cuba (e.g. trading, etc.), that we can be so responsible for their problems...
A neighbor of mine recently visited some family in Havana, and echoed her sentiments about Che's image being everywhere (even more than in years past according to him).
He said that nearly every CUC store has racks and racks of Che photos, t-shirts, calendars, etc and that he saw about 20 Yanqui gringoes walking the Malecon with Che t-shirts and tattoos.

ECM, the Brits are fed this line by the BBC, Labour politicians, and Cuban tour guides, and know nothing of the atrocities there or how the Castros took power or hold power. A British guy who had been to Cuba on vacation was bragging to me about Cuba's universal health care. I reminded him that Britain got universal health care by voting, and without any firing squads. "What firing squads?" he asked. He knew nothing about the violence following Castro's takeover.
WTF with these Communist apologists who have been born and grown and still currently and comfortably reside in free democracies? Communism is supposed to be so self-assured and self-sustaining. It is the cure-all to civilization's ills and grievances. So, Castro's Cuba was left on its own to grow and thrive under the almighty Communism. I said grow and thrive. Why the hell would they need a single thing from America? They have had the rest of the industrial world to trade with. Yet, in 50-odd years Castro's Cuba under the vaunted Communism has not grown and thrived, rather festered and rotted in torturous limbo.
It's not America's fault. It's the fault of Communism ... the ideal and religion of an evil vampire that has, for over a century, infected more and more vampires with his 'living dead' bite.
Castro, Che and Marx, and interloping Communist apologists failed the Cuban people. Not America.
And on that note, sounds like Maggie Thatcher's daughter needs a man with a heavy pork diet.

Did she take note of fido's tediously predictable response - yet another crackdown at home and more spittle flung in the faces of Americans?
She make the connection, yet, about the futility of working with thugs, murderers, tyrants, and other bolshvist termites?

Well, I don't know about all that. If you read the comments on some of the Brit news sites after stories the civilian trend over there is turning to what we are experiencing over here ... sick of the socialist government control, the growing appeasing of the dictatorial Muslim community in the face of established law and their great concern for our heading down the same toilet they appear to be in. Some of their writers are quite vocal in being against Obama and our current slide into socialism and weakening on terrorism.
As the blokes go, I'm really liking that royal ginger kid a lot and would rather see him sit on the throne than his older brother Will ... or maybe, if possible, run for Parliament or even later PM (not sure that's do-able given his royal lot in their society though). Harry is a closet Yank (more so than even his Mum was), and I think would love to be a US Marine. The kid's got balls to spare.
