Whistling baby, whistling

Thanks to Global Warming, it was a steaming 42 degrees F outside my home this morning. The monkey was whistling, and frantically, this morning when I opened the back door to let the dogs out. The dogs who, incidentally, felt that cold air hit them and stood there at the door, looking up at me with this "You have got to be kidding me" face.

Average temperature for today here in South Florida is about 60. And when you live here and it drops below 50 degrees or so, you pretty much see it all.

From people all bundled up in heavy coats, boots, hats and scarves and gloves to tough guys "from up North" in t-shirts and flip-flops. And of course you get the young women in coats and scarves and hats and gloves wearing open toed high heels. Or the winter wear that never matches.

So, yeah, it's cold by Miami standards, but, at least we aint shoveling snow.

...at least we aint shoveling snow.

Really, must you rub it in??

Sounds like a heat wave to me. It went down to -9 here and we are stll under a foot of snow and expecting a few more inches. My dog is also a rejector of global warming. You should see her face when it comes time to go out. We are expecting -30 wind chills and won't see double digit temps for at least a week. So put on some shorts and flip flops and enjoy what you have.

Even dogs are 'tough guys' it seems: the two labs here LOVE the freakishily cold weather and can't wait to get up, go outside and roll in it every day--even when it's zero outside!
