“It’s about time”

So says fidel castro about Obamacare:

"We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama's) government...

It is really incredible that 234 years after the Declaration of Independence ... the government of that country has approved medical attention for the majority of its citizens, something that Cuba was able to do half a century ago."

Yeah, Cuba has great healthcare:

castro also said Obama is "unquestionably intelligent" but he hopes...

...that the stupid things he sometimes says about Cuba don't cloud over that intelligence.

Of course Castro thinks that Obama is "unquestionably intelligent" he probably thinks that Chavez is very bright fellow and Lenin was a genius. I saw a poll last night and the vast majority of students think Obama care is great they will be able to have ins. people who now don't have ins. think is great, the majority of poor people who don't have insurance think taking from the rich and giving to the poor is a great idea and guess what there is a lot more poor people than there is in the well off category.
Maybe Obama is right and he is ahead of his time, maybe we have reached the tipping point in capitalism where insatiable risk has rendered the system unpractical, no body minded capitalism and a people being rewarded as long as we all had the same opportunity and we played on a level field, but that's no longer the case.
Insurance Co's weasel their way out of paying, that's like getting insurance on your cell phone , ever try to collect? there is always a legal escape clause where the don't weasel out paying you same with a lot of health insurance providers.
Maybe people ARE fed up with being lied to, cheated,tricked... So what if the rich leave, if Caterpillar, Deere go someplace else, so what if quality of health care goes down for the ones able to afford it, it will go up for the millions who don't have any!
My grandfather used to say "Pan duro, duro es mejor que ninguno" and that's the Obama reality....
Unchecked, unbridled, greed is no longer vogue or an option.

Unbridled lust for power seems to be very much in vogue.

  • How can there possibly be "health care" in a totalitarian state at war with it's citizens. How can there possibly be "health care" in a totalitarian state that uses medical facilities for stealth execution of unwanted citizens, unborn, aged, or dissident.
