If there were more Mary Anastasia O'Grady's in this world, the castro family would have been relegated to the dustbin of history long ago.

Totally agree. I discovered O'Grady not long ago, after subscribing to free WSJ updates and was astonished that anyone in media had such a good grasp on Latin American issues. She does her homework digging up the background info. She's terrific -- and so is Claudia Rosett.

MEXICO, Right or Left, is no friend of the Cuban people. I, who was imprisoned in that country for many years learned first hand that the one AND only interest that the government and Many of the people of that nation--in all the social-economical scales-- have in Cuba...is giving the United States of America a black eye. If the people of Cuba suffer a horrible dictatorship....so be it. The most important thing is for them to be on the side of ANYONE WHO IS AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Ditto, Henry. Thanks for telling it like it is. They also hate their neighbors to the south and imprison and mistreat everyone crossing their territory on their way to the US, while they march here demanding "rights" for their illegals. Screwed up, isn't it?

  • Henry, OJ, I hope you watched the video. This is not a kissy poo to Mexico. O'Grady knows the facts. She doesn't go out of her way to bash them, but she talks about Zapata, etc. She is great. As a LA girl, I have to say I've known a number of Mexicans who do not buy into that prevailing attitude, but you are right. Besides your personal experience, look at how they treat Cuban refugees.
