It was (Castro-trained) Reuters who photographed Posada at last week’s march

Marineland_CA_trained_sea_lions
"GOOD boy, Reuters!"

"A Reuters photographer spotted Cuban exile and former CIA operative Luis Posada Carriles among the participants in the march. He has a long history of violent opposition to Fidel Castro, the former Cuban leader. "

Say a reader with typical knowledge of events--ongoing for half-a-century-- barely 90 miles from their shores (say, a Sarasota Yacht Club member) read this Reuters article. Which of the above-mentioned gentlemen would this reader associate with violence?.....This is multiple choice:

A.) The Stalinist dictator who jailed political prisoners at a higher rate than Stalin himself, who murdered political prisoners at a higher rate than pre-war Hitler, who created refugees at a higher rate than the Waffen SS and Gestapo created while conquering and enslaving France, who came closest of anyone to plunging the world into nuclear war?.....

OR?

B.) The man who repeatedly put his life on the line to try and THWART the above horrors?

........you have 60 seconds to answer.

it was ironic, to put it mildly, that Posada was at the march. To the best of my knowledge he has never renounced the violent overthrow of Castro Inc and this was supposed to be about non-violence. Incidentally, while it failed to note Castro Inc. murderous regime I don't think there is anything factually incorrect in noting that Posada has been in "violent opposition" of the regime. It's a fact that he and his supporters would gladly acknowledge.

Luis Posada Carriles had the right to be at the march in condemnation of the Castro tyranny regardless of his methods of fighting that tyranny.

He’s no different that all those who died in El Escambray fighting the tyranny in the early sixties and the Alpha 66 member that fought the tyranny for years in their violent struggle.

At least Posada Carriles (and the ones mentioned above) had the balls and did something to try to topple the Castro brothers and dedicated their entire lives for the cause of a free Cuba.
