Jeff Greene is suing Florida newspapers

You just have to love the defeated Senate candidate Jeff Greene if only for the entertainment value. After his unscheduled/scheduled (depending on which story he's telling) trip to Cuba on his yacht caused irreparable harm to his campaign against Kendrick Meek, Greene is suing two Florida newspapers to try and extract his pound of flesh (pun intended) in retaliation for them fleshing (pun intended) out the story of his party boat's trip to Cuba, the scantily clad young women on board, and vomit caked on its side.

It goes to show you that no matter how many billions you may have, once a jerk, always a jerk.

Jeff Greene sues Florida newspapers

Failed Florida Senate candidate Jeff Greene is suing The St. Petersburg Times and the Miami Herald for libel, because they told people about his super-fun mega-yacht parties.

"It goes to show you that no matter how many billions you may have, once a jerk, always a jerk."

Certainly money doesn't make the man. It only shows that he knows how to create wealth.

Unfortunately in this very materialistic society that we live today we tend to equate a person's character to the size of their wallet.

I guess Mr. Greene has plenty of money to blow in lawyers fees playing games because the deeper they dig into his boat trips to Cuba the more likely those two newspapers will be vindicated for publishing the truth.

For once The Miami-Herald did the right thing, that rarely happens these days.

He's going to find out four things in big hurry:

    a) you are a public figure
    b) absence of malice
    c) discovery is a two-way street, let's see all your relevant records
    d) truth is an absolute defense against a charge of libel
