I sure hope Sharron Angle wins in Nevada. I also hope she’ll pick up a book on anthropology and learn where most of the people called “Latino” in this country originated–and thus vindicate her unwitting truism.
Would it be possible to lump together (for bone-headed cultural and political expediency) two more racially, and culturally distinct ethnic groups than southwest Europeans (bona-fide Latins) and Northwest Asians (the ancestors of most U.S. “Hispanics”)? Alas…such is political-correctness (and today’s public education.)
