The amazing recovery of Ariel Sigler Amaya
Babalu Blog was invited to a press conference, held today at 11 AM in a conference area at Jackson memorial Hospital, to highlight the recovery of Ariel Sigler Amaya.
Ariel, one of the 75 political prisoners arrested during the Black Spring of 2003, arrived in Miami on July 28 of last year, looking no more and no less like a victim of a concentration camp. He had been released by the castro murderers soon after the death of Orlando Zapata Tamayo. Cynically, they released him in the hopes that if he did die, it would not under their evil auspices.
Deprived of medical care for an illness induced and caused by the castro regime's imprisonment and neglect, his condition was perilous and grave. I was terribly moved by seeing this brave man arrive in the condition he was in, and prayed that he would recover his health. His will, along with the doctors at Jackson memorial, including Eneida Roldan and Orlando Rodriguez, have led him, seven months and ten days later, to take his tentative first steps on his own power. The conference was held to show the world what America -- and the freedom it represents -- is all about.
Seven years of incarceration in a castro Gulag did this to Ariel:
Seven months of freedom have done this:
Enough said.
(P.S., I'll try to have the audio of the conference ready for posting tomorrow.)

SPEECHLESS!!! Totally SPEECHLESS!!!
What an evil-regime this is (as if many of us didn't already know, since, say....JAN 2, 1959.)
What abominable curse has befallen that country that this regime has endured for over 52 years now. What a COMPLETE FUCKING CURSE!!!
Fuck "peaceful transition", only in your dreams would that be even remotely possible!
Force is the only way to rid these vermin!
George,
Send these pictures and this post to Congressman Flake and send the one from last August, comparing dictators.
Incredible, what a difference - it's stunning. Where are the scumbag, liberal dominated MSM? Yea, Flake and all the other Castro/Cuba apologists in Congress.
Mambi,
I spoke to Flake and he is not a Castro apologist. He despises Castro and all of the thugs in Cuba. He is just someone who believes in no sanctions for any reason and free trade under all circumstances.
I don't agree with him. I know he is not correct in his views. But he is not someone you can group with Cuba "experts" or Castro lovers.
Freedom ... It's what's for breakfast ... lunch ... supper ... midnight snack.
