"I missed many things from the country of my birth, but that is no longer the case. I have even found a parallel for guava paste with cream cheese that is distant yet exquisite, which I enjoy when I want, and not when I can, or when it's available, or when they allow me. I have recognized, at last, that the best ice cream is not from Coppelia, and neither is guava paste with cheese life itself.
"I no longer censor my taste buds when I enjoy ice cream with strawberries and cream, as the one in the photo. I do not censor them, nor do I censor myself when it is time to write this blog, although I am part of the Cuban diaspora and I do not live where I was born."
