It is all the victim’s fault
One of my favorite "Cuba Experts," Phil Peters, has an interesting take on the personal encounter Juan Wilfredo Soto García had with Castro State Security agents, which lead to his beating death.
According to their accounts Juan Wilfredo Soto, 46, was accosted by police in the provincial capital’s central park on Thursday, he resisted their entreaties to leave the area, and was beaten.
Resisted their "entreaties"? "Entreaties?"
Once again we have a "Cuba Expert" blaming the victim instead of the assailant. Juan Wilfredo Soto Garcia is dead not because Cuban security agents beat him to death, but because Soto Garcia "resisted their entreaties to leave the area."
Here is a picture of another Cuban "resisting the entreaties" of Cuban security agents:

"Please sir (THUMP!), we respectfully implore you to follow our instructions (WHACK!). We ask that you please refrain (BAM!) from counterrevolutionary activities and peacefully (POW!) go home. Your cooperation (KAPOW!) on this matter would be greatly appreciated (SPLAT!)."

This must be like the "entreaties" of a violent rapist to the poor woman to "be reasonable" and "please cooperate" so that "everything will be just fine." SOB, but so what else is new?
