UPDATED – Embargo on Castro: Let your voice be heard

Considering the pervasiveness of ignorance and bad information on the topic of the Cuba embargo, it may be an exercise in futility to vote your opinion on this online survey, but what the heck. It will not hurt to at a minimum let the ignorant and uninformed know that we know they are ignorant and uninformed.

Daily poll: Should the American embargo of Cuba be rescinded?

Pitbull: A few years back we helped author an open letter to a dialoguero group (PDF here) that fully explains our position. It is as valid today as it was then.

Of course we should vote on any surveys regarding whether the U.S. embargo against Cuba should be lifted. While the opinions of decision makers and subject-matter experts in Washington, DC should never be diluted, the media outlets and various interest groups use survey results to influence them. Cuban-Americans and our supporters do have a voice that needs to be heard.

  • if another of these letters is written, I would like to add my name to the list. I don't know how many times I tell people that lifting the embargo only helps the Cuban Government. none of the ignorant responses to the article understand this...just like college professors they are clueless to the realities of the Castro dictatorship. Frankly, the poor people of Cuba are not benefited in any way....Ignorance is around us folks.

The Totalitarian Castro Communist Dictatorship is in dire need of CASH. The Regime`s supporters in the United States Government and its agents among the General Population are gear up to once more help The Tyrannical Dictatorship maintain powerful strict control over Cuban people.
