Update on the arrest and continued detainment of Cuban graffiti artist ‘El Sexto’
Via Penúltimos Días (my translation):
The mother and sister of El Sexto were able to visit him where he is being detained, although they did not want to disclose the location (I suspect Villa Marista) because they fear too many of his friends will attempt to visit him and "things will get worse." They say that they found him calm and that the police informed them that he would be released in 72 hours. They have not wanted to name an attorney because they are confident he will be released soon. According to the police, the reason for his arrest were the "flyers" El Sexto had been passing out in the area.
On my part, I will continue insisting and sending reminders to all members of the international press in Havana what being a journalist means.
PS: The graffiti artist's supporters have begun to organize and plan a peaceful march this weekend in a neighborhood in Havana.
