Cayo Lara, former head of the Spanish Communist Party (PCE) and now candidate for president in Spain on the question if there are political prisoners in Cuba:
"You cannot lay siege on a country, with people supporting that siege, and then present them as political prisoners. I have a reasonable doubt regarding those political prisoners. In regards to topics I do not have a profound knowledge in, I prefer not to opine, but regarding the prisoners, what I see is that much of it is staged. Right? I feel like going to Cuba to find out just what is the situation."
