Making fools out of fools
Our very own cirujano titled his first magnum opus Fidel: Hollywood's Favorite Tyrant for a good reason: the fawning and preening over the Beast of Biran has always been over the top.
Sacha Baron Cohen, comedian and satirist extraordinaire, has now caused a kerfuffle within the ranks of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) because they banned him from walking the red carpet in character, a fictional pompous, murdering Middle Eastern dictator with a beard. His new movie, The Dictator, is not politically correct and AMPAS can't have a faux dictator, saying (and doing) God-knows-what, taking away the glamour of the moment. I'll bet my car that if fidel, a real-life pompous murderer, wanted to walk that red carpet they would move heaven and earth to make it happen.
Watch the video that appeared this morning on the Today Show but take note of the links on the left side of the homepage for the Republic of Wadiya.
Hollywood always manages to make a fool of itself. With fidel and with Aladeen...
