  • Humberto Fontova: “The Don is slipping.” Looks like it might be true this time?

  • asombra: There’s a misspelling on that plaque. It should have read “Esta es tu caca, Fidel.”

  • asombra: Don’t worry. Castro, Inc. knows what it’s doing, and it knows its public.

  • asombra: Either these people are pitiful idiots or they think everyone else is.

  • asombra: Because, you know, Reuters cares SO much about Cubans, so it really “feels their pain.” Just like Clinton did.

“Please release him…Let him go.” (sings Arturo Lopez-Callejas about his classmate Gerardo Hernandez)

Raul Castro's omni-poweful son-in-law (Major Luis Alberto Rodríguez López-Callejas) heads GAESA, by far Stalinist Cuba's richest bureau.

The cousin (Arturo Lopez Callejas) of GAESA's Chief Excutive Officer is seated on far right at this Washington "conference" last week. GAESA owns Cuba's tourist industry. By some odd coincidence the head of GAESA has a cousin in the U.S.--newly minted as a Cuba "Expert" throughout the MSM--and constantly carping for increased tourism to Cuba...?

This Washington Conference on "Freeing the Five" this week also featured none other than the classmate (the same Arturo Lopez Callejas) at Cuba's top spy-training center. of the most cowardly and murderous of The Five, Gerardo Hernandez.

From (Havana-Bureau approved) Reuters just this week "Cuba's nose-thumbing at American pressure resonates with Mexicans, said Arturo Levy-Lopez, a Cuba expert at the University of Denver."...Interesting how the cover alias "Levy" is starting to appear even before Lopez, in reports by (Havana-Bureau-approved) Reuters?

And the world wonders how a graduate of Cuba's spy-training center (ISRI) can enter the U.S. a few years ago, get a chicken-shit job as lecturer at some backwoods, one-room college---and VOILA!--immediately he's the MSM's most-quoted and acclaimed Cuba-"Expert"..?.

Did Phil Peters and Julia Sweig's "burning" (thanks to Babalu-blog) prompt their case-officers to suggest that these long-time Cuba-"Experts"...kinda....pass the torch...?

(And MAN!--My mother-in-law still LOVES that song!)

EXACTLY, and what makes one wonder even more is that distinguished professors [with multitude publications under their belts] such as Dr. Jaime Suchlicki, Ph.D, the Director of the Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies at the University of Miami and Juan Clark, Ph.D., the author of various scholarly books on Cuba including the 711 page tome, Cuba: Mito y Realidad is all but ignored.

Oh, but silly me! They're Cuban exiles. I forgot the golden rule: in order to be a "Cuban expert" one must either be:

a Non-Cuban, or if Cuban, a visiting "scholar" from Cuba with close ties to the regime!
