As Cholera Seems To Be Spreading Throughout Cuba, Ros-Lehtinen Says Travelers To The Island Should Be Aware That Castro Regime Is Not Being Forthright About Gravity Of The Situation

Miami, Florida – Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) issued the following statement regarding the growing reports of people in Cuba falling ill because of cholera and the Castro regime’s refusal to acknowledge this growing health menace.

Ros-Lehtinen’s statement:

“Reports from independent journalists and people visiting Cuba show that cholera is spreading throughout the island nation. In any other country, public health officials would issue warnings and alert the populace to the growing health hazard, but in totalitarian Cuba the regime keeps the Cuban people and the world in the dark. Why? Because the bankrupt Castro economy cannot afford to scare off tourists and the hard currency they bring.

Travelers to Cuba should be aware that the dictatorship is not being forthright about the gravity of the situation and that visiting Cuba at this time may put them at risk of becoming ill with cholera.”
