Via Café Fuerte, we see that the lions at a zoo in Camaguey, Cuba seem to be suffering starvation alongside the Cubans on the island:

So the regime can't take care of a few starving lions, yet raulita just accepted over 800 animals from Africa as a gift to Cuba's zoo.
